Terms of Service
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and AutoGhost (“AutoGhost”, “we”, “us”), based in Kuwait. They cover the AutoGhost app for Mac, this website and any related services (together, “AutoGhost”). By downloading, installing or using AutoGhost, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use AutoGhost.
1. Who sells AutoGhost
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing, taxes, invoices and customer service enquiries about orders and returns. Payments, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations and refunds are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.
2. What AutoGhost does
AutoGhost is software that edits multicamera video on your Mac. It analyses your audio and video files, decides which camera to show, and creates a project file you can open and change in Final Cut Pro. All analysis and editing happen on your Mac; your footage is not uploaded to us.
3. Free trial and subscriptions
- New users can try AutoGhost free for 3 days with every feature. One trial is available per Mac. When the trial ends, AutoGhost stops creating edits until you subscribe.
- Subscriptions are monthly or yearly and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your subscription stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Prices are shown on our website and at checkout. Paddle adds any applicable taxes at checkout.
- To check your trial or subscription, AutoGhost needs an internet connection when you first activate it and occasionally after that. Editing itself works offline.
4. Your licence
While your trial or subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use AutoGhost on your own Macs for your own projects, including commercial work. You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense or share AutoGhost or your licence with others;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify AutoGhost, or remove or bypass its licence checks or trial limits, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- use AutoGhost to build a competing product.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use AutoGhost or this website:
- for anything unlawful, or to create, edit or distribute unlawful content;
- for fraud, spam or to mislead people, including deceptive edits of real people intended to cause harm;
- to infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- to interfere with our systems’ security, including distributing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, overloading our services or scraping our website.
6. Your content
You own your footage, audio, graphics and the edits AutoGhost creates from them (“your content”). We don’t claim any rights to your content, and because AutoGhost works on your Mac, we don’t receive it. You are responsible for your content: you must have the rights and any permissions needed for everything you edit, including from the people who appear in it, and for any music, logos and graphics you use. You are responsible for reviewing every edit before you publish or broadcast it.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe content connected to AutoGhost, such as material on our website or social channels, infringes your rights, email hello@autoghost.studio with the material, where it appears and why you believe it infringes. We will review it and remove it where appropriate. We may suspend or end the licence of anyone who repeatedly infringes others’ rights using AutoGhost.
8. Our intellectual property
AutoGhost, including its software, design, name, ghost logo and website, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don’t transfer any of it to you. AutoGhost includes third-party and open-source components, which are provided under their own licences. Final Cut Pro and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc.; AutoGhost is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Apple.
9. No guarantees
We work hard to make AutoGhost accurate and reliable, but we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every edit will be correct or suitable for your purpose. Speaker detection can make mistakes, especially with poor audio. AutoGhost is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent the law allows. Keep backups of your original files.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or missed deadlines or broadcasts, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for AutoGhost in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using AutoGhost at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails or is reversed, if your use creates a security or fraud risk, or for repeated or serious violations. If your access ends, you must stop using AutoGhost; the edits you have already made remain yours.
12. Updates and changes
We may update AutoGhost to fix problems, add features or keep it working with macOS and Final Cut Pro. We may change these terms; if a change is significant, we will tell you on our website or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use AutoGhost after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
